The stories are not awesome but well written and generally good.
The stories cover many genres, all fun
If you want a collection of short stories, covering various genres, grab this collection. Smirl leads you down a path only to change direction when you least expect it!
This is one of those books that lives up to the blurbs. All those stories are here, and all are answered, along with many other excellent touches. Sometimes you want to curl up for a while with a novel. Other times, you'd rather sample. And, in many ways, you often learn more about a writer by collections of his short stories than you do from his novels. For one thing, short stories demand, by their structure, that you get right to the issue while still creating characters the reader can care about. Several of the stories in this collection use the format of an interview which gives a good writer a chance to introduce two and a half characters the interviewer, the one being interviewed, and the relationship between them, which is almost another character in itself. I highly recommend this book.
